« The slower I go, the faster I will get there »- Unknown.

You have big dreams. You want to make a difference in the world. You want to give back and really help people. Yet your life right now seems to work against your vision.

You’re rushing through your day trying to do it all. You know you have a great potential and you can do it all, sure you can, this worked in the past after all. So why are you feeling so drained, exhausted and discouraged at the end of the day? Why don’t you seem able to tackle these big projects, the ones that really matter to you? The ones that you know, once done, will make all the difference?

You see yourself succeeding, you know it deep down at your core. So why isn’t it happening?

You’re doing the work, you’re waking up early in the morning, taking one workshop after the other, reading books, listening to podcasts.

You’re doing A LOT.

Why is it so hard for you to bring your vision to life and finally get the results you want?

You want ease, you want to have time to enjoy your life while growing, learning and expanding and serving others. But, each day it seems that so many external forces are taking over your time and this feels really frustrating.

What if I told you there is another way to get where you want to be, a way that actually is completely contradictory with everything you’ve been told.

What if this way is in fact a very SURE way to get what you want in life and finally share your gifts with the world? Would you try it? Would you go for it? Would you be ALL IN?

Here are 3 surprising reasons why taking the slow road will get you there faster:

1) You’ll become the best version of you

When you slow down something magical happens. Your body starts to relax. You feel more present. Suddenly, you begin to notice the birds chirping outside and this makes you feel good. A smile smirking on your face, your mind starts to relax even more and gosh, this feels really good. You can’t stop yourself from taking a deep breath in and soak a little deeper into that delicious space.

You know that space where there is no need, no have to. In this space you just have to BE and enjoy every breath delightfully.

Did you noticed? This happened in just 1 minute or 2. Wow.

Can you imagined how your life would be transformed if you’d be living from this place 24/7?

Living slowly, catching the delicious precious moment.

How your health and well being would be improved?

How your relationships would be improved?

How your overall life would be improved?

How the work you’ll be creating would be?

I love this quote from Jim Rohn: « Success is something you attract by the person your become ».

I find it very true.

What you want in life is not something you chase or run after. This is something you attract by the person you become.

So the good news is, my dear, relax, take a deep breath in, feels all the goodness that is already present in your life and start thinking or even better journaling about which kind of person you dream of becoming one day.

I’m sure you’ve already heard this quote from Walt Disney: « if you can dream it, you can do it ».

If you can see it inside of yourself, it’s here for you to create it. Why would you have this vision in the first place if you couldn’t make it happen right?

So my question for you is, do you know what you want and who you want to become?

Are you running after what you want, trying to beat time or are you slowing down and creating it one step at a time?

When you’re following your own dreams, it feels good my friend, really good, delicious actually. Something within you feels right, damn right and you may witness the flicker of a smile deep within your being.

When you slow down, you have time to think and connect with yourself and by doing so everything starts to become clear, you feel excited and the first step to get there starts to appear in your mind or show up in your life.

Plus, you have time for self-care and this, my dear, is crucial. You know, really taking care of yourself, having enough sleep, stretching, going outside, being around people you love, having a nice meal, feeling nourished from the inside out.

How can you give to others if your cup is not full?

You also have time to study, learn and grow. How can you become better if you don’t have the time to work on yourself?

When you know which kind of person you want to become then it’s easy to figure out which kind of skill you’ll need to practice and learn in order to become it. The only thing required here is to study and practice that skill daily until it becomes part of who you are as a person.

When you slow down, you learn at a deeper level. You go slow, this is for sure but because you’re going slow, you take it bit by bit and know exactly where you are on your learning journey.

When you’re rushing you can only go briefly through things, impatient to go to the next thing, feeling frustrated because you’re not going fast enough, you feel exhausted and demotivated because of it and at the end of the day you’re having a hard time remembering what you learned the previous day, week or month.

2) You’ll create your best work

By becoming the best version of yourself and slowing down, you’ll be more focused.

Many successful people said that FOCUS was the key to their success.

Our attention is sacred. I mean what we focus on is what we get in life. When you truly grasps this and understand that we live in the most distracting time ever in human history with everyone trying to catch your attention each and every day, you’ll start to be really intentional about what comes into your lifestream.

You know, the information that comes into your life each and every day. What do you listen to? Which kind of people do you follow online? Which kind of friends do you have? What kind of conversations are you having? What is the content of your thinking, of your own narrative?

The information that we allow in our life makes us and creates our experiences.

When you slow down what you’re really doing is remembering that you have a body, that there are birds, sun and wind outside. You remember to breath and enjoy the food you eat and the music you’re listening to and this feels good my friend. And then, you feel more in touch with yourself, you start to see things more clearly and this feels like coming back home. Home to yourself.

When you slow down, you have the time to really do your best, you know to really dive deep into what you’re doing and practice, practice, practice.

« Success is a result of consistent practice of winning skills and actions. There is nothing miraculous about the process. There is no luck involved. » — Bill Russell.

Practice my dear, and create great work in the world.

When you slow down, you experience more ease and are more in flow. You’re not in fight or fly trying to chase everything any longer. You’re actually feeling more relaxed and your creativity gets unleashed with an abundance of ideas.

Do you see? Reversed engineer, be the person you want to be today, do what’s she doing at her level and then attract the abundance that is here for you. Be, do, have. Yes, that’s right.

3) You’ll catch the right opportunities for you at the right time

When you’re running around all day long, you’re actually out in front of yourself, thinking about your past or a future event. The thing is you are not focused, right here, right now.

Life is full of opportunities, especially today as we’re connected to everyone through the online world. When an opportunity shows up, let’s say a person you could collaborate with, a new online course, a new book, whatever it is, you’ll be tempted to take it just in case because you don’t want to miss it right?

When you slow down, you’re more present, more connected to yourself and to what you want in life. You’re clear and so when opportunities show up you’ll know if they’re right for you or not.

I know it to be true in my own life. When I look back at some of the decisions I’ve made in the past, all the ones that I regret are the ones I took in precipitation, I was in this mindset of fear of not missing out.

When you slow down you’re more likely to hear your inner voice and discern if this is right for you or not and if it is, if this is the right time to take it or not.

You’ll also know that as nature you’re abundant, life is abundant and full of opportunities all the time. So no need to rush and to take the first one that comes to you.

To conclude

This might sounds too far etched for you and I get it, we’ve been conditioned to live outside of ourselves, to look for answers in the outside world for eons of time. Plus, we’ve been told that we have to do it all and that time is lacking.

This is a lie.

I’ve been there as well and was quite proud of myself to be honest with you because I was doing a lot of things on the surface, I felt important because of it, I was wonder woman.

The truth is I was exhausted and very unfulfilled inside. I was so disconnected from my dreams that I didn’t even know what they were and everything felt so much work to actually create this kind of life I was seeing for myself and I didn’t have time, I had so many commitments already! It seemed that it would take me a hell of a lot of time and hard work to get there and when I was actually diving into hard work I was feeling even more exhausted, drained and frustrated as I didn’t have time to enjoy my life and my dream life seemed so elusive…

When you take the slow road, start with the person you need to be in order to get there and practice, build it one day at a time, your life will be turned around.

You’ll enjoy it so much more starting today. You’ll be proud and satisfied of the great work you’re bringing in the world each week and this feels really good. All of your relationships will be enhanced because of it as you’ll be more available to them and at your best.

See? You’ve everything to gain in taking the slow road. Just believe in yourself my friend. Believe in your vision and take action one step at a time, one day at a time. Soak into the energy of it, rejoice of what you’re creating, you’re making it happen now!
